RICHARD OREN CROWE

LAMAR- Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Daniel Funeral Home for Richard Oren Crowe, 66, Lamar, who died Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, after battling cancer. Burial will follow at Monmauth Cemetery in Crawford County, Kan.
The family will receive friends prior to the service time, beginning at 10 a.m.
Contributions are suggested and made payable to Daniel Funeral Home to help the family with expenses.

Survivors include one son, Juston Crowe, Portland, Ore.; five daughters, Misty Brooks and husband Ian, Willard, Ohio, Alicia "Ali" Carpenter, Seneca, Amanda Owens and husband Benjamin, Kingsland, Ga., Krista Sandoval and husband Martin, Nevada, Mo. and Chloe Crowe, Lamar; 16 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald Crowe, Hutchison, Kan.; four sisters, Donita Burton and husband Kenny, Columbus, Kan., Leanna Scott and husband Jimmy, Mulberry, Kan., Peggy LaFont and husband Rodney, Montgomery, Texas and Sherri Valdez and husband Tony, Odessa, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers and one sister.
Richard "Papa" was born February 6, 1957 in Girard, Kan., to Donald Lee Crowe and Erma Joan (Mowery) Crowe. He had a strong faith in Jesus and was an avid worker of many trades. He was loyal and dedicated to his family and a friend to many. His life on this earth transcended into the lives of his children, grandchildren and those who knew him best. His memory will forever be cherished.
