The Lamar High School Chess team, under the coaching of Andrew Chartier, took third place at the Frontenac Raider’s Chess Tournament held Saturday, Feb. 3. This was the first tournament for the high school team since returning to competitive chess and the second event overall. Taking third out of 17 teams was definitely something to celebrate as not only are they back in competition, but they are winning as well!
