LARRY ALLEN MCDANIEL
LAMAR- Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, at Daniel Funeral Home for Larry Allen McDaniel, 82, Lamar, who died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
A visitation was held prior to the service, beginning at 1 p.m.
Contributions are suggested and made payable to the Alzheimer's Association, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include one daughter, Jalene Force, Lamar; five grandchildren, Rachel Pennington and husband Brandon, Lockwood, Matthew McCann, Columbia, Mo., Ashley Sherron and husband Jesse, Lamar, Kaitlynn Force and fiance Aaron Moenning, Lamar and Marin McDaniel, San Antonio, Texas; seven great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, Jaxon, Kinley, Blakelynn, Isaiah, Ty and Olivia; his special friend, Carolyn Taffner; one brother-in-law, Larry Hoyt and wife Liz, Lamar; a sister-in-law, Doris McDaniel, Carl Junction and several nieces and nephews and good friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife; one son, Terry McDaniel; two brothers, Gene McDaniel and Garry McDaniel; one sister, Rosella Prittard and three great-grandsons, Gideon Cunningham, Bryar Cunningham and Kayden Force.
Mr. McDaniel was born July 14, 1941, in Mindenmines, to Ora Herman McDaniel and Pearl (Edwards) McDaniel. He was a 1959 graduate of Mindenmines High School. He married Georgia “Evelynn” Hoyt on Sept. 2, 1961, in Lamar.
He owned and operated McDaniel Service Station. He loved visiting with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and he enjoyed going out to eat with his close friends.
