TULSA, Okla.- Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 9, at Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar for Dorothy Alice Findley, 91, Tulsa, formerly of Lamar, Mo., who died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024, at Saint Simeon’s Senior Community. Burial will follow at Sheldon Cemetery in Sheldon, Mo.

Survivors include three sons, Dennis Findley and wife Jane, Marionville, Mo., Phillip Findley and wife Donna, Odessa, Mo. and Andrew Findley, Powell, Wyo.; one daughter, Martha Rickman and husband Mike, Sperry; seven grandchildren, Ryan Findley and wife Winnie, Megan Gordon and husband Jimmy, Lauren Findley and husband Michael, Christopher Findley and wife Yuri, Heather Findley and husband Tyler, Kayla Findley and Karrigan Findley; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marilyn Howard and husband Gail, Spring Hill, Kan. and Margaret McDonald, Lamar, Mo.; one brother-in-law, Howard Smith and one sister-in-law, Darlene Harper, Lamar, Mo, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one granddaughter, Chelsea Rickman; one brother, Richard Harper; one sister, Erma Smith; one daughter-in-law, Sharon Findley and one brother-in-law, Robert McDonald.

Mrs. Findley was born Feb. 19, 1932 in Scott City, Kan. (Logan County) to Leslie Andrew Harper and Nora Alice (Russell) Harper. She married Carl Allen Findley on Sept. 19, 1950, in Bentonville, Ark.

She was a homemaker and a minister's wife, serving with her husband for 35 years until his passing in 2007.
