WHITEWRIGHT, Texas- A memorial service will be announced at a later date for Rockwell “Rocky” Lee Crockett, 72, formerly of Lamar, Mo., who died Friday, May 3, 2024, surrounded by his family at home in Whitewright.

Contributions are suggested and should be made to the charity of donor’s choice.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Vickie (Campbell) Crockett; sons, Kevin Rockwell Crockett and wife Marianella, San Antonio, James Andrew Crockett and wife Jenica, Springdale, Ark. and Robert Zachery Crockett and wife Crystal, Carrollton; daughters, Brandi Denise Nance and husband Troy, Lamar, Mo. and Amanda Marie Rathman and husband Andy, Whitewright; eight grandchildren, Cheyenne Harper and husband James, Baxter Springs, Mo., Savanah Morgan and husband Matt, Fayetteville, Ark., Natalie Roskamp and husband Phillip, Lamar, Mo., Danielle Nance, Lamar, Mo., Tyler Nance, Lamar, Mo., Genesis Crockett, San Antonio, Cayden Crockett, San Antonio and Natalie Collins, Carrollton and six great-grandchildren, Bryston Potter, Rose Harper, Weston Roskamp, Waylon Roskamp, Anthony Bowen and Atlas Bowen. He is also survived by his brother, Randall Crockett and Susan and his sister, Roberta Belcher and husband Rick, along with many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

Mr. Crockett was born Oct. 9, 1951, in Lamar, Mo., to Robert Raymond Crockett and Betty Lou (McConnell) Crockett, who preceded him in death.

He spent 50 years in the Telecommunications field and was fortunate to make many lifetime friends and acquaintances. He enjoyed hunting, wood working, his animals and spending time with his family. He always had a story to share and was never without a pen or pencil so that he could draw out what he was planning and thinking about.
