DELMA KAY MELTON

KANSAS CITY- Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 23, at Park Lawn Funeral Home (8231 Hillcrest Rd., Kansas City, MO 64138) for Delma Kay Melton, 85, Kansas City, who died Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at St. Joseph Medical Center. A visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 9 a.m.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., at Memory Garden Cemetery in Lamar, Mo.

Mrs. Melton was born May 13, 1939, in Lamar, Mo., to Roy and Marie (Armstrong) Bass. She was a loving wife and mother, who cherished spending time with her family. She had a great sense of humor and a passion for cooking. She was known for her selflessness and putting the needs of her loved ones above her own.

She is survived by her husband, John Lee Melton; her daughter, Lisa K. Melton and her son, John D. Melton, as well as her grandchildren Tara, Jonathan, Savanna, Aubrey and Dusty.
