The Barton County Retired Educators met Tuesday, Sept. 3, for their first regular meeting of the new school year. Betsy Ulrich, preschool specialist, center, was presented a Missouri Retired Teachers Foundation grant for her preschool classroom. London Doody, daughter of Levi Doody and Tracy Read, is the sixth grade Lamar Middle School Student of the Week. Things she enjoys are riding dirt bikes, hunting and fishing. She has one dog, six chickens and four cats. She likes to play out in the yard. At school she likes PE and Reading. London says God, family, animals and hanging out with friends are important to her.
