LAMAR- Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 6, at Daniel Funeral Home for Donna Lou (Louderback) Johnston, 88, Lamar, who died Monday, June 3, 2024, at Cox Barton County Hospital in Lamar. Burial will be in Prescott Cemetery in Prescott, Kan.

A visitation will be held prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Contributions are suggested and made payable to Dudenville Cemetery, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Forste and husband David, Golden City and Sharon Lambert and husband Bret, of Owasso, Okla.; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by five sisters, Dorothy Louderback, Mildred Work, Shirley White, Beverly DeBusk and Bonnie McCune; five brothers, Murel Louderback Jr., Wayne Louderback, Richard Louderback, Jimmy Louderback and Robert “Bob” Louderback; a son, Larry Belden and one grandson, Jeffery Belden.

Mrs. Johnston was born Aug. 11, 1935, in Ponca City, Okla., to Murel Wesley Louderback and Edna Avis (Johnson) Louderback.

She was a resident of Lamar for many years and retired from Daniel Funeral Home. Prior to Lamar, she lived in Golden City, where she was the city clerk, a member of the Women's Business Professionals and a spokesperson for Muscular Dystrophy. She was also a nurse’s aide, an in-home health care nurse and an assistant manager of the former cafe in Mindenmines. Her hobbies included crocheting, needle work, jigsaw and crossword puzzles.
