Kristy Robertson/Barton County Chamber of Commerce The Barton County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting at 12 noon on Wednesday, June 5, at The Vault Bottle Shop, located at 1706 Gulf Street in Lamar. Owner Ann Killmon, along with family friends and customers, were treated to a day of specials, samples of wine and spirits, gourmet snacks and other refreshments.

Also on the premises was Big RENs BBQ and live music was provided by Dallas Stump. For more information on this new business visit their facebook page at The 682.

Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger Emergency Medical Director Dr. Jeremy Sturgell expressed his appreciation to all that made the new 64-slice CT scanner a reality. It was noted that the new machine is a “truth teller” that will take rural healthcare to the next level.
