Hwy. 126 closed due to excessive flooding

Drone photo by Joe Davis The area received a large amount of rain over the weekend, causing the water to rise over Hwy. 126. The report at the weather station shows a total of 2.76 inches for the month of June, with 2.24 inches having fallen on June 8. That was the last official recorded date.

According to Scott Kelley, theatre manager, sales are cut off at 310 cars and unfortunately some had to be turned away. No fears though as Twisters A Quiet Place, rated PG-13, will be playing at the drive-in every night through Thursday, July 25. An interesting note – The original Twisters movie that was released in 1996 proved to be a sell out as well.
