The Missouri Madness Demolition Derby was held before a full house on Saturday night, June 29, at the Stompin’ Grounds Freeman Event Center in Lamar. Despite a slight rain delay, the event went on with much excitement to ensue. Seventeen drivers from the four-state area competed with the winners being Lane Blundell, first place; Adam Fleming, second place and Gage Chiartano, third place, in full-size and Keegan Daniels taking first place, Dakota Peace, second place and John Shaver, third place, in compact class. Those attending the show also traveled from all over the four-state area to cheer on their favorite drivers. A beautiful fireworks show completed the evening and prior to that, Mother Nature gave her own special show with a beautiful rainbow. Sponsors for the event included Top Tech Promotions, Freeman Health System, Arvest Bank, Missouri Eagle Distributing, Heritage Tractor, Fabick Cat, Gabriel Roofing, Seed and Farm Supply, Stevens Automotive and Dairy Queen.
