RICHARD NELSON LEASURE

LAMAR- A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at the Barton County Senior Citizens Center in Lamar for Richard Nelson Leasure, 72, Lamar, who died Wednesday, July 31, 2024.

Arrangements are under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Georgia; three sons, Rick Leasure and wife Teal, Ryan Leasure and Reed Leasure and wife Alician; one grandchild, Syanna Faye Leasure; two brothers, Mark Leasure and wife Stephanie and Ron Leasure and Rita Atencio and one sister, Carol Wichman and husband Jim.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Leasure was born Oct. 30, 1951 in Colorado Springs, Colo. to Irwin Harrison Leasure and Carma Jean (Abel) Leasure. He graduated from Roy J. Watson High School in Colorado Springs, Colo. in 1969. On August 19, 1992, he married Georgia Louise Butner in Las Vegas, Nevada.

He proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1971-1977. He worked at O'Sullivan Industries as a forklift operator. He was a member of the Senior Citizens Board. He loved gardening, playing pool, old cars and Chevy trucks.
