RAYMOND “RAY” BRENTON HALL
LAMAR- A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, at Daniel Funeral Home for Raymond “Ray” Brenton Hall, 87, Lamar, who died Friday, Aug. 9, 2024. Burial will be held at 2 p.m. at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville.
Contributions are suggested and made payable to Daniel Funeral Home to help the family with expenses.

Survivors include his companion, Marilyn Montague; two daughters, Crystle Black and husband Marc, Lamar and Robin Jezek and husband Geno, Lee Summit; nine grandchildren, Tiffany Sanders and husband Steven, Darren Eidson and wife Samantha, Anthony Martin and wife Jamie, Annetta Martin, Jaclyn Kranz and husband Daniel, Chanel Jezek, Nicole Robertson and husband Jacob, Curtis Sartin and wife Jeannie and Bryce Bartholomew and Abigail Morris; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; one brother, Lauren Lester Hall, Springfield and a cousin, Susan Hydeman-Routh.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carla Jo Hall.
Mr. Hall was born May 24, 1937, in North Kansas City, Mo., to Brenton Raymond Hall and Rose Marie (Pietre) Hall. He was a 1954 graduate of North Kansas City High School and proudly served in the United State Marine Corps from 1954 to 1958.
He worked for General Motors on the assembly line. He was a member of the United Auto Workers. He also worked as a lifeguard at Winwood Lake during his high school years, the Kansas City Police Department, Holt Volunteer Fire Department, Holt EMT, was a security guard at several community colleges, Lake City Army Ammunition plant for many years and as an over-the-road truck driver for several years after he retired.
