Many take opportunity to Walk for Life

Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger Individuals continued to gather for the Barton County Right to Life’s annual Walk for Life that was held on Monday, Sept. 4. This picture was taken at 9 a.m. on Labor Day, at the Lamar City Park. Many took advantage of the cooler weather as they traveled the walking trail.

Tipton made the three hour drive to play against the Tigers. Each of the Big 8 conference teams have one open date on their schedule to play against a non conference foe. Lamar's open date was during the third week of the season and Tipton also had an open date that week. Lamar will return the favor by making the trip to Tipton next year.
