Lamar Democrat/Chris Morrow Liberal High School senior Jordan Goodell was crowned 2024 football homecoming queen prior to the Bulldogs loss Friday night to New Heights. She is escorted by classmate Kole Wiles.

Hallee Gammon's team followed that win with another dominant victory, taking don McDonald County 3-1. The Lady Tigers are off to a good start in their 2024 campaign.

Jasper High School Lady Eagle Shiloh Storm recently eclipsed 2000 career assists. She was honored prior to the volleyball game with New Heights on Tuesday night, where Jasper came out ahead 3-0. The win improved Jasper’s record to 9-1 on the season. Jasper has swept every opponent it has faced from the state of Missouri so far this year, with the only loss by the Lady Eagles coming to Pittsburg, Kan., during the Frontenac Tournament.
