Although the morning didn’t start off with the best weather for a fly-in, the day finally decided to clear up as the Lamar Airport observed its 63rd anniversary with a fly-in on Saturday, Sept. 21. The day started at 7:30 a.m. with a breakfast and festivities and events occurred throughout the day. Unfortunately some planes were not able to get around the weather, causing more foot traffic than planes. That didn’t stop everyone from enjoying the display and the wait for the Blackhawk helicopter to land was well worth it. The medflight from Cox Hospital was also on hand.
