Senior night held as Tigers throttle Aurora

No. 45 Tate Bennett hugs his mom in the ceremony before the varsity game. Fall sports teams including Football, Cheerleaders, Marching Band, Tennis and Cross Country were recognized.

Third grade finishes regular season undefeated
The Lamar sixth grade Tigers ended their regular season on Saturday, Oct. 12, with a victory over Nevada, 40-12. It was a great day to be a Tiger, with both the offense and defense playing an amazing game. The Lamar Tiger youth football Super Bowl schedule shows the third and fourth grades playing on Saturday, Oct. 19 in Mt. Vernon, while the fifth and sixth grades will be playing at Carthage on Sunday, Oct. 27. Come out and cheer on your Lamar Tigers!

Tiger’s losing streak comes to an end
The Lamar sixth grade youth football team played a hard fought battle against Carthage White, in Carthage, on Saturday, Oct 5. The score stood at 0-0 until the top of the fourth quarter, than ended the fourth quarter tied at 6-6. Going into overtime, the Tigers tried to score four times and just couldn’t come up with a touchdown. Carthage White then ended the game on their fourth try, going ahead by a score of 12-6. The final game, prior to the Super Bowl, will be held Saturday, Oct. 12, against the Tigers of Nevada.
