Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger Emergency Medical Director Dr. Jeremy Sturgell expressed his appreciation to all that made the new 64-slice CT scanner a reality. It was noted that the new machine is a “truth teller” that will take rural healthcare to the next level.

Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger The last Picnic in the Park for 2024 was held the fourth Thursday of the month, Oct. 24, on a beautiful, sunny day. Many turned out to enjoy the trucks prior to shutting down for the winter. Picnic in the Park is held at the Lamar City Park and will return in March of 2023.

Also on the premises was Big RENs BBQ and live music was provided by Dallas Stump. For more information on this new business visit their facebook page at The 682.
