Worsley receives fond farewell as city administrator

Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger As a memento, the framed picture of the current Lamar City Hall was presented to Russ Worsley, who retired as city administrator during ceremonies held Thursday morning, Oct. 31, at the Lamar City Hall meeting room. Worsley was extremely instrumental in the planning of the new city hall.

The Lamar sixth grade Tigers completed their youth football career with a win over Carthage, 14-0. The Lamar Tigers and Carthage Blue played their Super Bowl at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27, at Carthage and came out on the victorious end following a hard fought game. Special thanks are extended to all the coaches for the time and the decisions and dedication they made as they put their hearts into the sport. Congratulations to these amazing young Tigers.
