Students learn through “Protecting Kids for Life” rural safety program

The Rural Safety: Smart Choices for Life program was held November 6, at Lamar Career and Technical Center. The Lamar ag students welcomed 88 Lamar West Elementary third graders to learn more about rural safety.

Katie Vickers, daughter of Derek and Beth Odle, is the sixth grade Lamar Middle School Student of the Week. Katie enjoys reading, dancing, singing and watching the Harry Potter movies. Barton County 4-H Teen Leaders presented a Fall Festival at Lamar West Elementary School on Halloween, Thursday, Oct. 31. Two hundred and eighty-eight students, third through fifth grades, participated at various stations set up in the gymnasium.
