The Barton County Chamber of Commerce would like to thank everyone that attended or participated in the 2024 Lamar Christmas Lighting and Parade held Friday evening, Nov. 22, on the Lamar square, at the Wyatt Earp Park, along with a Christmas market held at Memorial Hall. Mother Nature even got into the act with her spectacular sky! The Tiger Youth Choir performed at the park prior to the parade that featured stunning performances by the marching band, dazzling lighted floats, Santa and Mrs. Claus and all various types of floats and entries that made the parade a huge success. Someone made the remark that the crowd on the square reminded them of “olden” days, when the square was the place to be during the holidays. The evening was filled with laughter, wonder and memories to cherish. Please see the December 4 edition of the Lamar Democrat for more pictures and information on the evening.
