JAMES THOMAS YOUNG

LAMAR- James Thomas Young, age 64, of Lamar, Missouri passed away November 13, 2024 at his home in Lamar, MO.

James was born July 22, 1960 in Pasadena, California to Floyd Lee Young and Dorothy Lee (Downey) Young. James graduated from Lamar High School in the class of 1979. On November 24, 1979, James married Hazel Marie Davis in ­Lamar, MO.

James worked as a forklift operator at O'Sullivan's and retired in 2015 from the maintenance department at Truman Healthcare. His hobbies included motorcycles, cars, fishing, deer hunting and arrowhead collecting.

Survivors include wife of 44 years, Hazel; one son, James Bradley Young of Lamar; one daughter, Melissa (Jose) Colon of Wills Point, Texas; five grandchildren; one sister, Terri (Mike Jones of Lamar; and several nieces and nephews.

James was preceded in death by his parents.

A private family burial will be held.
