Golden City students taught Smart Choices for Life

Livestock Field Specialist Dr. Patrick Davis, who serves Barton County University of Missouri Extension, coordinated the Community Safety Net “Rural Safety” Smart Choices for Life held Friday, Nov. 22, at the Golden City Elementary School. Barton County 4-H Program Associate Elaine Davis welcomed a total of 94 Golden City students, PK-5th grade, to the Rural Safety Days.

Lamar Cruise Night recently presented a check to Katie's House, a Pregnancy & Family Resource Center in the amount of $250. The money is to be used for Christmas gifts and/or comfort items for newborns in Barton County. Katie's house is a Non-Profit Organization with locations in El Dorado Springs and Lamar.
