Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger Thanks to a group effort that provided the funds for the project, as well as the individual helpers that gave of their time, 20 families, that included 56 children, received bags of Christmas items from Katie’s House Pregnancy and Resource Center from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 18. Lamar Cruise Night recently presented a check to Katie's House, a Pregnancy & Family Resource Center in the amount of $250. The money is to be used for Christmas gifts and/or comfort items for newborns in Barton County. Katie's house is a Non-Profit Organization with locations in El Dorado Springs and Lamar.
