Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger
Members of the community were blessed by the Lamar Methodist Church on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, with the yearly tradition of a traditional Christmas dinner cooked and served by members of the church. Dinners were available for delivery, pick up or dine in from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the church’s family life center. The number of meals topped last year with a total of 750 being served, with 400 deliveries, 200 pick ups and the rest enjoying their time dining in as they visited with family and friends. The many volunteers through both donations of their time and money are invaluable and extremely appreciated.
