NEDRA FAYE DIVINE

Nedra Faye Divine, age 96, of Lamar, Missouri, passed away on April 11, 2025, at Truman Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Lamar.

Nedra was born on September 7, 1928, in Lamar, Missouri, to Rector (Rex) Lee White and Leona Belle (Hartley) White. On April 14, 1946, she was united in marriage to Fred Junior Divine in Girard, Kansas.

Nedra dedicated 17 years to Wal-Mart as a sales associate in the jewelry department, retiring in 1996. Prior to that, she worked at Big Smith for 27 years. Nedra and her late husband, Junior, owned and operated Memory Gardens Cemetery since 1966. She was a devoted member of the Lamar Christian Church and proudly belonged to Rebekah Lodge 160 for over 50 years.

She is survived by her son, Robert "Bob" Lee Divine and his wife Kay of Lamar; her daughter, Shirley Ann Christianson of Kasson, Minnesota; 11 grandchildren: Lewis Divine, Allen Divine, Bill Divine, Andy Divine, Sue Biby, Liz Helvey, Sherry Divine, David Christenson, Laura Ferguson, Kathy Steinkamp, and Cindy Rendler; as well as numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind nieces, Janeene "Jan" Pierce and Lisa Bergstrom; and a nephew, Bob Crain.

Nedra was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Junior; her sister, Lonnie Crain; and her brother, Jesse White.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Lamar. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar.
