Hard work and dedication pay off for Ashton Hietala

Ashton Hietala recently participated in the Spooky Spirit Half-marathon with his mother, Kassity, on Sunday, Oct. 19, in Tulsa, Okla. This was exactly one week before Ashton’s 11th birthday. The two crossed the finish line hand in hand with a finish time of two hours and 12 minutes, which was a 10:02 minute per mile pace, giving Ashton first place in his age group.
