Potter competes in indoor track championship

Kiersten Potter, daughter of Mitch and Clarissa Potter, Lamar, recently participated in her first indoor track season at SBU. Potter competed in the Great Lake Valley Conference indoor track championship at the University of Indianapolis, Ind., on February 28 and March 1. She ran the 5K, placing second with a time of 17:29, only two seconds behind the first place runner. Potter ran the 3K and placed fifth with a new personal best time of 10:10. Her team placed fourth overall.
