Dr. John Alden was the lucky recipient of a 1929 Model A Ford Sedan that had been donated to the Lamar Elks Lodge 2800 by Bob and Elaine McDaniel. A raffle was held, with all proceeds being used to support fellow veterans. Both Alden and his father-in-law, Terry Moore, right, are veterans, as well as being street rod enthusiasts so watch for them in upcoming parades.
