YMCA receives generous donation from CoxHealth

Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger Lamar Family YMCA held a ground breaking and ribbon cutting celebration at their new facility, located at 1705 Gulf St. in Lamar. This was a true celebration with several in attendance, representing various aspects of the community and surrounding towns. The event was held at 12 noon on Thursday, April 16. Following the ceremony, refreshments were offered and tours were given of the facility. A very generous donation ensured that the name of the facility would be Cox Health Family YMCA.
