LOIS NADEAN WAGONER

LOCKWOOD- Graveside services for immediately family only will be held for Lois Nadean Wagoner, 94, Lockwood, who died Friday, April 3, 2020, at Good Shepherd Community Care.
In lieu of flowers, the family are asking that contributions be made payable to Kistler Cemetery, in care of Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar.

Survivors include a son, Leonard Wagoner and wife Brenda; two grandchildren, Chad Wagoner and wife Jennifer and Kara Morgan and husband Raleigh and three great-grandchildren, Eryn Wagoner, Connor Wagoner and Brock Richardson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Wagoner and two siblings, Lynn Crockett and wife Anita and Robert Crockett and wife Betty.
Mrs. Wagoner was born Dec. 5, 1925, in Carl Junction, to Charles O. and Ethel (Brown) Crockett. She was a preacher’s kid and as such they moved quite often. She played the piano for her dad at the different churches where they were assigned. She graduated from Golden City High School where she met Melvin Wagoner, whom she married on Feb. 17, 1946.
In 1948 Mr. Wagoner bought a tank wagon business, delivering fuel to residential and farm customers. In 1950, their son, Leonard Dean Wagoner, was born, In 1959, Mr. Wagoner bought the rest of the station, which was known as Wagoner Oil Company. Mrs. Wagoner worked as the bookkeeper, parts clerk and when necessary ran the tank wagon. She played the piano and organ for the United Methodist Church in Golden City, where she and her husband were members. She also played for weddings and funerals and also played for a male quartet for over 33 years, in which her husband and three good friends sang.
