LIBERAL- Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Konantz Warden Funeral Home in Lamar for Sandra Jo Stufflebean, 67, Liberal, who died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2022. A visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 10 a.m.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald; children, Samuel Dohle and wife Tanya, Jaclyn Theriault and finance Michael and Andrew Dohle, all of Liberal and brothers, Rex McKay and wife Deb and Tom McKay and wife Linda, all of Liberal. She is also survived by grandchildren, Dakota Moore, LaSha Johns, Joey Garrett and Brandon Dohle; two great grandchildren, Elanore and Carter Moore and by many nieces, nephews and other family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Stufflebean was born March 30, 1954, in Pittsburg, Kan., to Maurice and Mary McKay. She was a 1972 graduate of Liberal High School and completed the nursing program at Ft. Scott, Kan., where she later worked as a nurse at Mercy Hospital for over 10 years.

She was married to Sammy Dohle from 1973 to 1996 and they had three children. She married Ronald Stufflebean in 1998 and they traveled for over 20 years, fulfilling her desire to “see the world”. Her health declined over a period of years, so she returned to the Liberal area. She loved crossword puzzles and crocheting.
