Lamar Tiger Cross Country team have successful meet

The Lamar Tiger Cross Country Boys Team qualified for State by placing second at the District meet held October 29. The top four teams qualified to run at State.

Lamar Democrat/Chris Morrow The Lamar Tigers started their season off right by winning three games in their own tournament last weekend. Here Lamar senior Cooper Haun barrels up a high fastball from Jasper pitcher Treyton Ritchhart and drives it through the right side to bring in a run. The Eagles put up a good fight but the Tigers came out on top 7-5. The Tigers also beat Butler 11-1 and Diamond 7-6. The Eagles defeated Butler in the tournament.
