LAMAR- A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Daniel Funeral Home for Donald Lee Hunt, 94, Lamar, who died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2023, in Ft. Myers, Fla. Burial will follow in Girard City Cemetery in Girard, Kan.

Contributions are suggested and made payable to either American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include one son, Michael Hunt and wife Audrey, Lamar; one daughter, Mary Beth Saunders and husband Darrick, Ft. Myers, Fla.; six grandchildren, Austin Saunders, Jereme Saunders, Hannah Saunders, Harley Veazey and husband Johnny, Alex Probert and Grant Probert and two great-grandchildren, Buel Veazey and Baelor Veazey.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Samuel Clarence Hunt and two sisters, Mary Lou Jones and Harriet Katherine Kelley.

Mr. Hunt was born Oct. 3, 1929, in Girard, Kan., to Homer Don Hunt and Mary Ann (Montgomery) Hunt. He married Cecelia Elizabeth Radell on Sept. 17, 1961, in Girard, Kan.

He was a dairy farmer and retired in 2001.
