ROGERS, Ark.- Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 8, at Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar, Mo. for Vera “Babe” Pauline Rogers, 91, Rogers (formerly of Lamar, Mo.) who died Monday, March 4, 2024, at Jamestown Health and Rehabilitation in Rogers. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Lamar, Mo.

A visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the service, beginning at 10 a.m.

Contributions are suggested and made payable to the Immanuel Lutheran Church, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include two sons, Steve Rogers and wife Cindy, Kansas City, Mo. and Russell Rogers and wife Rhonda, Independence, Mo.; two daughters, Patricia Rogers, Rogers and Sharon Martin and husband David, Dallas, Texas; one sister, Loretta Owen and husband Dean, Lamar, Mo.; 11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James; one son, Robert Rogers; one daughter, Paula Dixon; two brothers, Irvin Blanchard and Harold Blanchard and three sisters, Lillie Flash, Leta Moore and Clara Hobson.

Mrs. Rogers was born Aug. 15, 1932, in Barton County, Mo., to Ezra M. Blanchard and Isabelle Katherine (Spoon) Blanchard. She was a graduate of Sheldon High School. She married James Cecil Rogers Jr. on Nov. 26, 1950, in Barton County, Mo.

She and her husband owned and operated Roger's Fly and Lures in Lamar, Mo. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lockwood, Mo. and enjoyed her quilting club through the church.
