Chamber holds ribbon cutting for Crumbs & Co. Catering

Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger Several gathered as the Barton County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, for Crumbs & Co. Catering, LLC. Owners are Ben and Da’Lacey Garfield, with Da’Lacey bringing 20 years of cooking and catering experience.

Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger On Friday afternoon, May 23, a variety of City of Lamar employees gathered at the Thiebaud meeting room to receive a small token of appreciation that included root beer floats. According to Lamar City Clerk Felicia Costley, the City wanted to give something to the men and women of the city who pulled together to assess the damage after the storm on Easter. Costley said, “Then they worked nonstop for several days to get things up and running again”, commenting, “The teamwork was phenomenal!”
