LIBERAL- Services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar for Daniel Lewis Bazal, 34, Liberal, who died unexpectedly on Friday, March 23, 2018. Burial was in Liberal City Cemetery.

Contributions are suggested to Katie Page for his children, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include his children, Elijah Bazal, 8, Maci Bazal, 4 and their mother, Katie Page, of Liberal; his parents, Ed and Cindy Bazal, Liberal; brothers, Joe Bazal and wife Beth, Liberal, Robert Bazal and wife Stephanie, Cadott, Wisc.; four nephews, Quincy, 11 and Kellen, 8, Liberal, Calvin, 4 and Marshal, 1, Cadott, Wisc.; a niece, Natalie, 4, Liberal and his grandfather, Jim Long, Nevada, Mo.

Mr. Bazal was born Nov. 26, 1983, to Ed and Cindy (Long) Bazal. After graduating Liberal High School in 2002, he briefly attended Pittsburg State University. He worked for Miller’s Professional Imaging and as an assistant to Matt Miller of Bleacher Report and was a co-host with Matt and Marshal Miller of the Stick to Football podcast.

Growing up, his life revolved around sports. As an adult, his life revolved around his kids and sports. He enjoyed scouting and helping research articles. He was loved and loved coaching youth Liberal sports.
