The Lockwood Tigers put up a heck of a fight against the defending state champion Archie Whirlwinds in the season opener. Unfortunately for the large contingent of Tigers fans who came out for opening night, Lockwood dropped the contest 48-38. Here senior Nik Thieman busts off a 71 yard touchdown run to put the Tigers up 16-0 in the first quarter. The Tigers bounced back in Week 2 with a 62-24 win over Drexel.
